<h2>Can The EODD Diet Really Let Me Eat My Favorite Foods And Still Lose Weight?</h2>
<p>Hello, I am Christian, a life-long dieter and I use the <i>EODD diet</i> as a life-style eating plan after losing my excess weight with it.  So I know what I am talking about when it comes to the <u>EODD diet</u>.</p>
<h3>The EODD Diet Is Short For The Every Other Day Diet</h3>
<p>The EODD in the EODD Diet actually stands for the name of the diet which is The Every Other Day Diet.  I was first attracted to the Every Other Day Diet by its claims that you could eat your favorite foods and still lose weight.</p>
<p>So I researched it and after finding out how it worked I was impressed enough to try it out.</p>
<p>Let me share a few things I discovered in my research that lead me to adapting this diet as my culinary life style.</p>
<h3>What The EODD Diet Is Not</h3>
<p>Here are a few myths about the Every Other Day Diet that are not true.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>The EODD Diet Means You Eat Only Every Other Day &#8211; </strong>This is not true, you eat every day but you are allowed to have one non-diet meal of the foods of your choice every other day.</li>
<li><strong>You Can Eat Whatever You Want And Still Lose Weight &#8211; </strong>While this is technically true, a lot of people fail to understand that there are limitations on the<em> amount</em> of diet-free foods you eat.  <strong>There are no limitations on your choice of foods</strong>, just the amount and the times you can eat them. More about this later.</li>
<li><strong>The EODD Diet Is Complicated To Understand And Follow &#8211; </strong>Nothing could be further from the truth.  The SNAPP eating system can be mastered in 15 minutes.  I&#8217;ll admit that I learned in in less than 5 minutes.  As far as following it, it is as easy to follow if you have dedicated yourself to losing weight.</li>
</ul>
<h3> How The EODD Diet Works</h3>
<p>The EODD Diet is based on calorie shifting which is a technique of reduced calorie dieting that is calculated weekly rather than daily.  For instance, on a traditional diet I might limit my daily calorie intake to 1200 calories in order to lose weight, but calorie shifting would look at the weekly total of 1200 X 7 or 8400 calories per week.</p>
<p>This allows diets like the EODD diet to shift these 8400 calories around with some days having a very low calorie allotment and others having a much higher allotment.  This is how room is made for the high calorie non-diet meals every other day.</p>
<h3>EODD Diet Benefits:</h3>
<p>This calorie shifting technique has several benefits and the EODD diet adaptation of calorie shifting includes several more.</p>
<ul>
<li>Calorie Shifting reduces and in many cases eliminates <a href='http://www.eodd.biz/link/weight-loss'>weight loss</a> plateaus.  This is due to the fact that the body is kept off balance by the constantly changing calorie intake.</li>
<li>The EODD diet adds a psychological advantage by using non-diet foods as a way to keep dieters from feeling trapped in a low-calorie desert.</li>
<li>Calorie shifting keeps the body from reducing its metabolism in response to a daily reduction in calories.</li>
<li>The EODD Diet allows dieters to never be more than 24 hours away from a non-diet meal.</li>

<h3>The EODD Diet Drawbacks</h3>

<li>The EODD Diet is not a miracle, you still are going to be going on a restricted calorie diet.</li>
<li>You need to follow this diet to the letter in order for it to work.</li>
<li>Getting a hard copy edition of the EODD Diet cost extra.</li>
</ul>
<p>In the end the EODD Diet is a great diet for anyone who&#8230;</p>
<ul>
<li>Is seriously planning on losing weight.  Losing weight sucks no matter how you look at it, but the EODD Diet just makes it suck less.</li>
<li>Would like to have a &#8220;break&#8221; from their diet every once in a while—with the EODD diet this can be every other day.</li>
<li>Is looking for a permanent lifestyle change.</li>
</ul>
<p>To be honest with you, I would not recommend the EODD Diet to people who are justr researching losing weight but are not fully committed yet.  I also would discourage people from getting the EODD Diet if they are looking for a way to lose weight with out sacrificing anything. (I will tell you now that you aren&#8217;t going to find such a product.)</p>
<p>The EODD Diet works best when you read it through twice, take notes on it and then put everything into practice.  I would also highly recommend you join the forum which is free to do once you have purchased the EODD diet.  There you will receive plenty of support and have all of your questions answered promptly.</p>
<p>When you get the EODD Diet don&#8217;t start on it until you have read it through twice, joined the forum and have had all of your questions answered.  Once you feel ready then pick a starting date and your off to enjoy a better quality of life like I have found.</p>

<p>You body isn&#8217;t aware that you live close to supermarket full of every conceivable food known to man.  It thinks you are still in a cave facing a famine.  It switches to a lower gear and burns less energy in order to survive its imagined famine and you stop losing weight.</p>
<h3>The Calorie Shifting Diet Solution</h3>
<p>Researchers have discovered that this only happens if you eat fewer calories every day over a certian period of time.  This means that you should only eat fewer calories some of the time.  The problem with that is you won&#8217;t end up losing weight ver fast.</p>
<p>This is where a <u>calorie shifting diet</u> comes in.  Suppose I really wanted to lose weight fast so I decide to restrict my daily calories to 1200 each day.  This will be great until my body does its little starvation avoidence thing.  So what if I thought weekly calorie count  instead of daily?</p>
<p>1200 calories a day makes 8400 calories a week.  If I plan a reduced weekly calorie count I can shift the calories around—hence the name Calorie Shifting Diet—so that on somedays I eat very little while on others I eat relatively a lot.</p>
<p>This makes me<strong> lose weight faster</strong> because my body will not plateau in its <a href='http://www.eodd.biz/link/weight-loss'>weight loss</a>.  It is never given a chance to go into starvation prevention mode since it isn&#8217;t really sure what is going on.  The metabolism stays high and the weight comes off.</p>
